Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Corporate Training Support Aide to join our Human Resources and Learning & Development team in Red Deer. This part-time role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our corporate training programs. You will be instrumental in creating a positive and productive learning environment for all Servus employees, from new hires to seasoned professionals. Your daily activities will involve a blend of administrative tasks, logistical coordination, and direct support to our training facilitators and participants. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, and a passion for supporting professional development within a dynamic financial services environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation, execution, and follow-up of various training initiatives, contributing directly to our employees’ growth and, by extension, the success of Servus Credit Union.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare training materials, including printing, collating, binding, and organizing handouts, presentations, and workbooks.
  • Set up and dismantle training rooms, ensuring all equipment (projectors, laptops, whiteboards, etc.) is functional and ready for use.
  • Manage training program logistics, including scheduling, participant registration, and communication of event details.
  • Provide administrative support to trainers and participants during sessions, addressing inquiries and resolving minor technical issues.
  • Maintain and organize training resources, supplies, and equipment inventory.
  • Assist with data entry and record-keeping related to training completion and participant feedback.
  • Coordinate catering and refreshments for training sessions as required, adhering to budget and dietary needs.
  • Support the Learning & Development team with ad-hoc projects and tasks to enhance training effectiveness and efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Proven administrative or support experience, preferably in a corporate or educational setting.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or training software.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles or corporate training processes.
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
