As a Courier Driver with Career.zycto, you will be the face of our company, responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of packages to and from various locations within the Bel Air Rivière Sèche area and surrounding districts. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being on the move, values independence, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service. You will operate a company vehicle, managing your route efficiently, and interacting with a diverse range of clients daily. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle for the pickup and delivery of packages to various destinations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring their security and integrity during transit.
- Verify accurate package counts and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery and collection.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with customers and dispatch regarding delivery status or issues.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations at all times.
- Process paperwork and electronic records accurately for all deliveries and pickups.
- Assist with loading and unloading packages as required.
- Represent Career.zycto professionally and courteously to all clients and the public.
Required Skills
- Valid Mauritian Driving License (Manual or Automatic, Class 3 preferred)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to read maps and use GPS navigation systems
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25 kg (with assistance if heavier)
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Punctual and reliable
Preferred Qualifications
- High school certificate or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of the Bel Air Rivière Sèche and Flacq District area
- Previous customer service experience (any industry)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
