Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently collect, transport, and deliver a wide range of packages to customers within the designated Liverpool area.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, adjusting as necessary for traffic or road closures.
- Accurately scan and track packages using a handheld device and proprietary software, ensuring all delivery information is recorded correctly.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, handling inquiries and resolving minor issues promptly.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness, reporting any maintenance issues or damage immediately.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations, company policies, and procedures at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading packages, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Manage delivery documentation, including obtaining signatures and confirming delivery details.
Required Skills
- Full, clean UK driving license (Category B minimum).
- Proven experience driving commercial vehicles or vans.
- Excellent knowledge of Liverpool and surrounding areas.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25kg.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency with smartphone applications and GPS navigation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with package delivery and logistics software.
- Previous experience in a courier or delivery driver role.
- Advanced driving qualification or defensive driving training.
