Key Responsibilities
- Assist the crane operator with pre-operational checks and routine maintenance of cranes and lifting equipment.
- Inspect rigging equipment (slings, shackles, chains) for damage and ensure proper selection for each lift.
- Secure loads for lifting, ensuring proper balance, weight distribution, and safe attachment.
- Provide clear and concise hand signals or radio communication to guide the crane operator during lifts, movements, and placement of materials.
- Monitor the work area for potential hazards, personnel, and obstructions, ensuring a safe lifting environment.
- Clean and maintain the crane and surrounding work areas, ensuring a tidy and organized site.
- Support the rigging and de-rigging of loads, ensuring efficient and safe material handling.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations.
- Participate in daily safety briefings and contribute to a proactive safety culture.
- Perform other general labor duties as assigned to support project completion.
