The Creative Copy Editor will be responsible for reviewing, refining, and enhancing a wide array of content, including marketing materials, corporate reports, press releases, website content, social media posts, internal newsletters, presentations, and public relations collateral. Your expertise will be crucial in transforming raw information into polished, engaging, and error-free copy that not only meets the highest linguistic standards but also strategically resonates with our diverse audiences, from stakeholders and investors to employees to government bodies and the local communities we operate within. Key Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread a wide range of corporate communications materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and brand voice.
- Ensure all content adheres to established style guides (e.g., AP style, company specific style guides) and regulatory compliance standards.
- Collaborate with content creators, marketing teams, and subject matter experts to refine messages and enhance readability and impact.
- Develop and maintain consistent editorial standards and guidelines across all communication channels.
- Fact-check information and verify accuracy of statements in all materials.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions for content creation, offering insights on language, tone, and audience engagement.
- Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within deadlines.
- Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve overall content quality.
Required Skills
- Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proven ability in copyediting, proofreading, and content refinement.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
