You will be instrumental in collecting and organizing financial data, conducting preliminary reviews of credit applications, and assisting in the preparation of comprehensive credit reports. Key Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Credit Analysts in gathering and organizing financial data, credit reports, and other relevant documentation for credit applications.
- Conduct preliminary reviews of financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements) to identify key trends and ratios.
- Prepare initial drafts of credit summaries and memoranda, highlighting relevant information for credit decisions.
- Support the underwriting process by ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Maintain and update client credit files and databases with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Research industry trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes that may impact credit risk.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to facilitate the smooth processing of credit applications.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on credit policy and portfolio performance.
- Perform ad-hoc analytical tasks and special projects as required by the credit department.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, formatting) and Word.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A foundational understanding of financial concepts and principles.
