As a Curriculum Developer, you will be instrumental in crafting the content that defines our programs, ensuring relevance, accuracy, and pedagogical soundness across various platforms and delivery methods.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, multimedia specialists, and assessment developers to transform complex information into accessible and impactful learning modules. Your responsibilities will span the entire curriculum development lifecycle, from initial needs analysis and learning objective formulation to content creation, revision, and evaluation. We are looking for someone who possesses a deep understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design theories, and various educational technologies.
This position requires a creative problem-solver with exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills. You will be expected to produce high-quality instructional materials, including lesson plans, course outlines, presentations, activities, assessments, and facilitator guides, tailored for diverse learner demographics and learning styles. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging, comprehensive, and pedagogically sound curricula for various educational programs and platforms.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments and analyze target audience characteristics to inform curriculum objectives and content.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content, validate accuracy, and ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Write, edit, and proofread instructional materials, including lesson plans, course outlines, presentations, activities, assessments, and facilitator guides.
- Integrate multimedia elements, interactive activities, and technology-enhanced learning solutions into curriculum design.
- Develop clear, measurable learning objectives and appropriate assessment strategies to evaluate learning outcomes.
- Pilot test new curriculum materials and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement and refinement.
- Stay abreast of best practices in instructional design, adult learning theory, educational technology, and relevant industry trends.
- Manage multiple curriculum development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure all developed content complies with accessibility standards and company branding guidelines.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or educational content creation.
- Demonstrated expertise in applying adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience developing content for various delivery modalities (e.g., in-person, blended, online, self-paced).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in instructional design or e-learning development.
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) for creating visual aids.
- Familiarity with SCORM and xAPI standards.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced EdTech or professional development environment.
