Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service, greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Actively listen to customer needs and offer tailored product recommendations and solutions.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints effectively, aiming for first-contact resolution.
  • Maintain an organised, clean, and visually appealing store environment, including merchandising and stock replenishment.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and conducting stock checks.
  • Stay informed about current products, promotions, and company policies to accurately inform customers.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily and weekly sales targets and operational goals.
  • Uphold company standards for security, health, and safety at all times.
  • Support the store management team with various operational tasks as required.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a customer service or retail environment (minimum 1 year).
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping customers and delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with POS systems.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per retail demands.
  • A positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
  • Previous experience with specific retail software or CRM systems.
  • Demonstrable ability to upsell or cross-sell products effectively.
  • Familiarity with visual merchandising principles.
