In this pivotal role, you will be the frontline of our customer engagement, providing exceptional support and service through both live chat and inbound/outbound calls. You will be responsible for handling a diverse range of customer inquiries, from product information and technical assistance to billing questions and general support. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via chat, email, and phone calls.
  • Diagnose and resolve customer issues accurately and efficiently, providing clear, step-by-step solutions.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering friendly, empathetic, and knowledgeable support.
  • Document all customer interactions and resolutions accurately in the CRM system.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams when necessary, ensuring follow-up until resolution.
  • Provide product and service information, identify cross-selling opportunities where appropriate.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed and collaborating with colleagues.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably remote or call center environment.
  • Strong active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other customer service tools.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • High-speed internet connection and a quiet, dedicated home workspace.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.
  • Strong sense of empathy and patience with customers.
  • Reliability and strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience with Zendesk, Freshdesk, or similar customer support platforms.
  • Familiarity with the e-commerce or telecommunications industry.
  • Previous experience with chat-based customer support.
  • Fluency in additional local Nigerian languages is a plus.
