Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with inquiries regarding their accounts, products, and services in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Efficiently resolve customer complaints and issues, escalating complex matters to senior staff when necessary.
  • Process various banking transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and bill payments.
  • Educate customers on Standard Lesotho Bank's digital channels, online banking, and self-service options.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all customer interactions and transactions in the bank's systems.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell suitable banking products and services that align with customer needs.
  • Adhere strictly to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and data security.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues and sharing best practices.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a Diploma in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service, sales, or administrative role, preferably within the financial sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Sesotho.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to assist customers and build rapport.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite) and a willingness to learn banking software.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A high level of integrity and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with banking software or CRM systems.
  • Proven track record of meeting customer service targets and exceeding expectations.
  • Knowledge of banking products and services offered in Lesotho.
