Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer inquiries, both in-person and via telephone, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Assist customers with opening new accounts, processing transactions, and resolving account-related issues efficiently.
  • Educate customers on CBZ's full suite of financial products and services, including savings accounts, loans, mobile banking, and digital solutions.
  • Proactively identify customer needs and cross-sell appropriate banking products, contributing to branch sales targets.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints and complex issues with professionalism and empathy, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all customer interactions are recorded accurately in the bank's CRM system.
  • Contribute to a positive and welcoming branch atmosphere, fostering strong customer relationships.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a customer service or customer relations role, preferably within the financial sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Shona (Ndebele also an asset).
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency in using banking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated empathy and a genuine desire to assist customers.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Diploma or Degree in Banking, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience with CRM software.
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics and agricultural sector needs in Mashonaland Central.
  • Certification in Customer Service or Financial Services.
