Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
  • Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Guide customers through troubleshooting steps or direct them to relevant resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints, providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within set time limits.
  • Keep up-to-date with product information, changes in banking policies, and service updates.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless customer experience and issue resolution.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and actively participate in remote team meetings and training sessions.

Required Skills

  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a Client Service Representative (minimum 1 year)
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a remote setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated quiet workspace at home.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Communications)
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry
  • Proficiency in additional South African official languages
  • Experience with remote work environments and tools.
