Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and process various customs documentation including declarations, manifests, permits, and certificates of origin for import and export shipments.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with Mozambican customs regulations and international trade laws.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic and physical records of all customs-related activities and documentation.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and relevant government agencies to facilitate smooth customs clearance processes.
- Assist with tracking shipment statuses and proactively address any documentation discrepancies or issues that may arise.
- Support the logistics team in researching and interpreting customs tariffs, duties, and taxes.
- Help prepare reports and summaries related to customs activities and compliance.
- Stay informed about changes in customs regulations and procedures to ensure continuous compliance.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in an administrative or data entry role, preferably within logistics or a related field (1-2 years).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Portuguese.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
