Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and tools for alerts, anomalies, and potential security incidents.
- Perform initial triage, investigation, and response to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate weaknesses.
- Analyze security logs, network traffic, and threat intelligence to detect and prevent intrusions.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Support security audits, compliance initiatives, and risk assessments.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations for security enhancements and best practices.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security considerations into system design and operations.
- Participate in post-incident analysis and reporting to improve future security postures.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a cybersecurity role (SOC, Security Analyst, etc.).
- Proficiency with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common network security services.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS).
- Familiarity with incident response methodologies and frameworks (e.g., NIST, SANS).
- Knowledge of operating system security (Windows Server, Linux).
- Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, CISSP).
