Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR) for anomalies, threats, and suspicious activities around the clock.
  • Perform incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and post-incident recovery.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and remediate security weaknesses across our infrastructure.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Participate in internal and external security audits, ensuring continuous compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Provide essential security awareness training and guidance to employees across the organization to foster a security-conscious culture.
  • Analyze security logs, network traffic, and other data sources for advanced threat intelligence and proactive defense.
  • Manage and configure a diverse range of security tools and technologies, including firewalls, anti-malware solutions, and multi-factor authentication systems.
  • Document security incidents, investigations, and mitigation strategies thoroughly and accurately.
  • Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, technologies, and intelligence to continuously enhance our defensive capabilities.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) to a professional standard, essential for documentation and communication.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a dedicated cybersecurity role, with a strong understanding of security principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Solid experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm, Azure Sentinel) for effective log analysis and correlation.
  • In-depth knowledge of network security concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, routing/switching).
  • Familiarity with operating systems security across multiple environments (Windows, Linux, macOS).
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys) and foundational penetration testing methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to triage and resolve security incidents effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, GSEC, CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their associated security services.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation, data analysis, and tool development.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, and GDPR.
  • Prior experience in forensic analysis and malware analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) solutions.
