Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems for anomalies, breaches, and intrusions, initiating incident response procedures as required.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, providing detailed reports and recommendations for remediation.
- Implement and manage security tools and technologies, including SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Develop, update, and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines in adherence to industry best practices and regulatory compliance (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Perform forensic analysis on security incidents, identify root causes, and propose preventive measures.
- Educate and train employees on cybersecurity awareness, phishing prevention, and data protection best practices.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and infrastructure deployments.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, continuously enhancing our security posture.
- Participate in security audits and provide evidence of control effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Elastic Security).
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network security architectures.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing methodologies.
- Solid knowledge of incident response processes and forensic analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles and practices (AWS, Azure, GCP).
