As a Cybersecurity Support Analyst, you will be the first line of defense, responding to and resolving security incidents promptly and effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for alerts and anomalies.
  • Perform initial triage, investigation, and escalation of security incidents.
  • Provide technical support for security tools and technologies, including firewalls, antivirus, EDR, and MFA solutions.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security policies and procedures.
  • Document incident response activities, security configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Educate users on cybersecurity best practices and phishing awareness.
  • Participate in vulnerability management activities, including scanning and remediation tracking.
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to resolve security-related issues and implement security enhancements.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of security operations processes.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and their security features.
  • Knowledge of common cybersecurity attack vectors and defense strategies.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management (ITSM) processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic understanding of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or CCNA Security.
  • Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel).
  • Familiarity with cloud security principles (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Fluency in German is a plus.
