Job Description
ADRA Mozambique is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Data Entry Aide to join our team in Changara, Tete Province. This full-time, on-site role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and accessibility of our program data, which underpins our decision-making and reporting to donors and stakeholders. The Data Entry Aide will be responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and verifying various forms of data related to our projects, beneficiaries, and operational activities. This position requires an individual with exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. You will play a vital role in ensuring that all project-related information is correctly recorded and easily retrievable, contributing directly to the efficiency and effectiveness of ADRA’s humanitarian and development initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with program managers and field staff, supporting them with timely and precise data management. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately input and update program, beneficiary, and administrative data into designated databases and spreadsheets.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of data by comparing it against source documents.
- Perform regular data quality checks and identify any discrepancies, errors, or missing information.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all sensitive information.
- Generate reports, summaries, and data analyses as requested by program managers and senior staff.
- Assist in organizing and archiving physical and electronic documents and records.
- Support the preparation of presentations and statistical reports based on collected data.
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure timely and correct submission of data.
- Participate in training sessions to improve data management skills and understanding of new software/systems.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in data entry or a similar administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Basic understanding of data management principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Office Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience working with NGOs or in a development context.
- Familiarity with data collection tools and database software.
- Knowledge of local languages spoken in Tete Province (e.g., Sena, Nyungwe).
