Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, meticulous, and efficient Data Entry Clerk to join our administrative team at our Forest Side, Curepipe office. In this crucial role, you will be primarily responsible for accurately inputting, verifying, and maintaining various types of data from source documents into our computer systems and databases. This includes processing both numerical and textual information, ensuring its integrity, confidentiality, and accessibility for various departments within Omnicane. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately input various forms of data from source documents into our computer systems and databases within specified timeframes.
- Verify data for accuracy and completeness, correcting any discrepancies detected.
- Maintain and update databases regularly, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Organize and file source documents after data entry to ensure easy retrieval.
- Comply with data confidentiality policies and procedures to protect sensitive information.
- Assist with data collection and report generation as required by management.
- Perform routine administrative tasks, such as scanning, photocopying, and collating documents.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a data entry clerk or in a similar administrative role.
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy (minimum 45 WPM).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., Office Administration, Business Studies).
