Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Data Governance Support Officer to join our growing team in Sachsenhausen, Frankfurt am Main. In this critical full-time role, you will be instrumental in upholding our commitment to data quality, integrity, and regulatory compliance across all our operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor data quality metrics and work with data owners to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Support the Data Governance Manager in managing data dictionaries, data catalogs, and business glossaries.
  • Facilitate training sessions and create documentation to raise awareness and ensure adherence to data governance principles across the organization.
  • Help ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and internal data privacy policies.
  • Participate in data governance committee meetings, preparing agendas and documenting minutes.
  • Provide support for data-related audits and assessments, gathering necessary evidence and documentation.
  • Collaborate with IT, legal, and business units to integrate data governance requirements into new and existing systems and processes.
  • Investigate and escalate data governance breaches or non-compliance issues.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2.5 years (30 months) of experience in data management, data governance, or a related analytical role.
  • Solid understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and data lifecycle concepts.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proactive problem-solving approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Certification in Data Governance (e.g., CDGP, DGSP).
  • Experience with data governance platforms or tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
  • Understanding of enterprise data warehousing, business intelligence, and big data technologies.
  • Fluency in German (written and spoken).
