Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using modern data engineering tools and technologies.
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data across all systems.
  • Optimize existing data pipelines for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to understand data needs and deliver appropriate data solutions.
  • Manage and improve data warehousing solutions, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines and data processing systems.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, data models, and data flow processes.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Expertise in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scala, Java) for data manipulation and scripting.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse Analytics).
  • Demonstrable experience with ETL/ELT tools and data warehousing concepts.
  • Familiarity with data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Luigi).
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data structures, and database design.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
