Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain data quality checks and rules across various data sources and systems.
- Monitor data quality metrics, identify anomalies, and investigate root causes of data quality issues.
- Develop and execute data profiling, cleansing, and standardization processes.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to integrate data quality processes into ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into data quality rules.
- Document data quality issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
- Recommend and implement improvements to data governance policies and data quality frameworks.
- Participate in data lineage and metadata management initiatives to enhance data understanding.
- Provide training and support to end-users on data quality best practices and tools.
- Contribute to the selection and evaluation of data quality tools and technologies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Data Quality Analyst or in a similar data-focused role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, analysis, and manipulation.
- Experience with data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation techniques.
- Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate complex data issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
