You will be responsible for the entire data science lifecycle, from initial data exploration and hypothesis generation to model deployment and performance monitoring. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems.
- Perform extensive data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering on large, disparate datasets to ensure data quality and readiness for analysis.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, presenting findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Build and maintain robust predictive and prescriptive models, optimizing for performance, scalability, and interpretability.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business development teams to understand requirements and integrate data science solutions into production systems.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key metrics and model performance, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, continually evaluating new tools and techniques for potential adoption.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and/or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling techniques, including regression, classification, clustering, and time series analysis.
- Expertise in machine learning algorithms (e.g., Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Gradient Boosting, SVMs, Neural Networks).
- Solid experience with SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets in relational databases.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Tableau, Power BI) to convey insights effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analytical results and technical concepts to diverse audiences clearly and persuasively.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar distributed computing frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, particularly their data science and machine learning services.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices, including model deployment, monitoring, and versioning.
- Knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
