Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Daycare Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring smooth transitions.
- Supervise and mentor junior daycare staff, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
- Implement and adapt age-appropriate educational programs and activities that align with developmental milestones.
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and health of all children under care, adhering strictly to all regulatory guidelines and company policies.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with parents regarding their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Handle minor disciplinary issues and behavioral challenges with a positive, supportive, and consistent approach.
- Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in early childhood education and fostering a positive team culture.
- Assist in staff scheduling and coverage planning to ensure adequate supervision ratios are always met.
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external childcare regulations, including safeguarding procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, BTEC).
- Current Paediatric First Aid certification and general First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in a childcare setting, even if not in a formal supervisory role, demonstrating direct work with children.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its implementation.
- Clearance from a recent enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
