Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs and engaging lesson plans.
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care at all times.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that actively encourages learning and social development.
- Observe and assess children's progress across developmental domains, providing regular, constructive feedback to parents/guardians.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with parents regarding their child's daily activities, developmental milestones, and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom space conducive to play and learning.
- Collaborate actively with co-workers and administration to enhance the overall program quality and address individual child needs.
- Adhere strictly to all state licensing regulations for childcare and company policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to create engaging, educational, and developmentally appropriate activities for young children.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and classroom management abilities.
- Abundant patience, creativity, and a genuine, unwavering passion for early childhood education.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and actively engage in physical activities with children (e.g., bending, squatting, running).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field.
- Previous experience (1+ year) working in a licensed daycare or preschool setting.
- In-depth knowledge of Arkansas child care licensing regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Spanish) is a valuable asset.
