Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service, assisting with selections and offering knowledgeable recommendations on deli products.
- Prepare a variety of deli items such as custom sandwiches, fresh salads, and attractive platters according to company recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate deli slicing equipment to precisely cut meats and cheeses, adhering strictly to all safety protocols and minimizing waste.
- Maintain a pristine, organized, and hygienic work station, including all food preparation areas, display cases, and kitchen equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of deli products, replenish stock as needed, and ensure proper rotation to maintain freshness and minimize spoilage.
- Accurately operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, handle cash and card transactions efficiently, and provide correct change to customers.
- Adhere rigorously to all local and national food safety and sanitation regulations (e.g., HACCP principles).
- Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries, verifying the accuracy and quality of incoming products.
