Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver a wide range of packages and goods to designated addresses within Ikorodu and surrounding areas.
- Verify accurate package counts and conditions against delivery manifests before and after routes.
- Assist in loading and unloading goods from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, utilizing navigation tools and local knowledge.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, handling inquiries and feedback professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and any issues encountered during routes.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and report any faults.
- Handle cash payments or electronic transactions accurately and securely, where applicable.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license (e.g., motorcycle or car, appropriate for delivery vehicles)
- Proven ability to navigate efficiently using maps and GPS systems
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry packages (up to 25kg)
- High level of reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or assistant in Lagos
- Familiarity with Ikorodu and Lagos road networks
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Minimum of SSCE/WAEC qualification
- Customer service experience
