Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages, documents, and other goods to designated locations within Stone Town and surrounding areas.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections, including proof of delivery.
- Ensure the security and integrity of all items during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle/motorcycle.
- Provide excellent customer service, handling inquiries and feedback professionally.
- Handle cash or digital payments for Cash-on-Delivery orders, if applicable.
- Assist with loading and unloading items as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid motorcycle or light vehicle driving license (Category A or B, as applicable in Tanzania/Zanzibar).
- Ability to read maps and use navigation tools (GPS, smartphone apps).
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to lift and carry packages and be on the move for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Punctual and dependable.
- Positive attitude and customer-focused approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Stone Town, Zanzibar City area and its routes.
- Experience with a smartphone for delivery applications.
