Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport goods to designated locations within Gisenyi (Rubavu) and surrounding areas.
- Adhere to assigned delivery schedules and routes, ensuring timely arrivals.
- Verify accuracy of orders against delivery documentation before departure and upon delivery.
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and care to prevent damage.
- Maintain cleanliness and fuel levels of the delivery vehicle.
- Perform routine vehicle checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Collect payments from customers when required and process documentation accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Comply with all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Utilize navigation tools and applications to optimize routes and delivery efficiency.
Required Skills
- Valid Rwandan Class B driver's license (or equivalent)
- Proven safe driving record
- Excellent knowledge of Gisenyi (Rubavu) and Western Province road networks
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 25 kg
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Punctual and reliable
- Basic literacy and numeracy for documentation and transactions
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier
