As a Delivery Driver with Career.zycto, you will be responsible for transporting a variety of goods to designated locations, adhering strictly to delivery schedules and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles (vans, motorcycles, tricycles) for the delivery of various goods.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Load, unload, and secure items, ensuring their integrity during transit.
- Verify contents of shipments against shipping documents and customer orders.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, collecting payments if required.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks, reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and relevant paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety standards.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G/E/C for relevant vehicle types)
- Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience
- Excellent knowledge of Agbara, Badagry, and surrounding areas
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 25kg)
- Punctual, reliable, and strong work ethic
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with delivery apps or route optimization software
- Prior experience in a logistics or e-commerce delivery role
- Familiarity with local customs and preferred delivery times in the region
