Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport various goods (packages, food, documents, etc.) to designated customer locations within Lagos.
- Strictly adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and road regulations.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and manifest, ensuring all documentation is complete.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor during all interactions.
- Handle cash or process electronic payments accurately and securely as required.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries, utilizing navigation tools effectively.
- Load and unload packages carefully, ensuring their integrity and security during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members regarding delivery status or unforeseen delays.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G/E or equivalent)
- Proven safe driving record with no major violations
- Strong knowledge of Lagos road networks, particularly Satellite Town and surrounding areas
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to operate and maintain various delivery vehicles (vans, bikes, etc.)
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of professional delivery or commercial driving experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
