As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our client’s operations, responsible for the timely and secure delivery of various packages and goods across Wuse 1 and the broader Abuja metropolis. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate company vehicles (motorcycles, vans) to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, utilizing navigation tools effectively.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle.
- Verify order accuracy with customers and obtain necessary signatures.
- Handle cash or process electronic payments for goods delivered.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic routine maintenance checks (tire pressure, oil levels).
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service, resolving inquiries and addressing concerns professionally.
- Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or delivery discrepancies promptly.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, vehicle mileage, and fuel consumption.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class A, B, or C depending on vehicle type)
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Proficient knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic regulations
- Ability to use GPS and navigation applications effectively
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy packages
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and responsibility
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of professional delivery driving experience
- High School Diploma or GCE equivalent
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems or mobile payment devices
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong customer service background
