Key Responsibilities
- Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading packages, ensuring proper handling and organization within the vehicle.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS and mapping tools, helping drivers stay on schedule.
- Verify delivery details against manifests, ensuring accuracy and completeness for each stop.
- Safely deliver packages to designated recipients, following all company procedures and safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, and dispatch regarding delivery updates or issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle throughout the day.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions at delivery points.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the delivery operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic knowledge of Toronto's geography or ability to quickly learn routes.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
