Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily delivery routes, optimizing for efficiency and timely service.
- Manage incoming and outgoing inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and proper storage.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery status and potential issues.
- Monitor delivery progress and proactively resolve any logistical challenges or delays.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, manifests, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Operate various logistics software and systems for tracking, scheduling, and reporting.
- Conduct regular equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with loading and unloading activities as required to maintain operational flow.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience with route optimization software.
