Key Responsibilities
- Execute timely and efficient pick-ups and deliveries of goods to designated locations.
- Verify the accuracy of orders against delivery manifests before departure and upon arrival.
- Safely load, transport, and unload packages, ensuring their integrity throughout the delivery process.
- Utilize navigation applications and route planning tools to optimize delivery paths and minimize delays.
- Communicate proactively with the dispatch team regarding delivery status, potential delays, or issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating company or personal vehicle (if applicable).
- Maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service during all interactions with clients and partners.
- Handle payment collection (if required) and accurately process necessary paperwork.
- Conduct routine checks of delivery equipment or vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Adapt to changing delivery schedules and respond to urgent requests efficiently.
Required Skills
- Valid G-class driver's license (or equivalent) and a clean driving record.
- Proven ability to navigate Toronto streets effectively using GPS and mapping applications.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs (23 kg) consistently.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery, courier, or logistics role.
- Familiarity with the Chinatown, Toronto area and surrounding neighborhoods.
- Experience using mobile apps for delivery tracking and communication.
