Are you an experienced and safety-conscious motorcycle rider with a passion for excellent customer service? Zanzibar Eats is looking for dynamic and reliable Delivery Motorcycle Riders for immediate hire to join our expanding team in Welezo, Zanzibar City. This is a critical role that places you at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders promptly and with a smile. As a Delivery Motorcycle Rider, you will be responsible for picking up food orders from various restaurants and delivering them efficiently and safely to our customers across designated zones within Zanzibar City, primarily focusing on the Welezo area and its surroundings. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver food orders from restaurants to customers within specified delivery zones.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety standards, prioritizing personal and public safety at all times.
- Verify order accuracy with restaurant staff before collection and with customers upon delivery.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Handle cash payments accurately and manage electronic transactions where applicable.
- Utilize our delivery app for navigation, order management, and communication.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good working condition of the assigned motorcycle.
- Report any issues, such as delivery delays, order discrepancies, or motorcycle malfunctions, promptly to dispatch.
- Represent Zanzibar Eats positively to customers and the public.
- Assist with other operational tasks as needed during downtime.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A (motorcycle) driving license in Tanzania.
- Proven experience in motorcycle riding, preferably in a delivery or courier capacity.
- Excellent knowledge of Zanzibar City roads and navigation, especially within Welezo and surrounding areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use smartphone applications for navigation and order management.
- High level of responsibility and reliability.
- Customer-centric attitude with a friendly disposition.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience as a delivery rider.
- Familiarity with food delivery platforms and processes.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor motorcycle maintenance.
- Proficiency in Swahili and basic English communication.
