Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport goods from local businesses to customers within West Hartford and surrounding areas.
- Adhere strictly to designated delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely arrivals.
- Verify the accuracy of orders against delivery documentation before departure and upon delivery.
- Handle goods with care to prevent damage during transit, maintaining their quality and integrity.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions, ensuring a polite and professional demeanor.
- Collect payments as required and accurately process transactions.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained delivery vehicle/motorcycle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and business partners regarding delivery status or any unforeseen issues.
- Comply with all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license (motorcycle or standard vehicle)
- Clean driving record
- Reliable personal vehicle/motorcycle with valid insurance
- Strong knowledge of West Hartford and surrounding area geography
- Ability to use GPS and mapping applications effectively
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Customer-centric attitude with good communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 30 lbs
