Key Responsibilities
- Assist the delivery driver with loading and unloading packages, ensuring proper handling and organization within the delivery van.
- Navigate routes using GPS and maps, helping the driver stay on schedule and reach destinations efficiently.
- Verify package contents against delivery manifests to ensure accuracy before and after delivery.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries, representing the company with a positive attitude.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, especially regarding vehicle operation and package handling.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or any unforeseen issues.
- Assist with routine vehicle checks and basic maintenance reporting to ensure the van is in good working condition.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery van throughout the workday.
- Collaborate with the driver to optimize delivery sequences and improve overall route efficiency.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
