Key Responsibilities
- Operate a delivery van safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations within Passau and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload packages and parcels, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transit.
- Follow planned delivery routes and schedules, adjusting for traffic and weather conditions as necessary to meet delivery deadlines.
- Verify contents of shipments against shipping documents, obtain customer signatures, and record delivery information accurately.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip) to ensure the van is in safe working condition and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and transportation regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the delivery vehicle and ensure proper fuel levels for daily operations.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid German Class B driving license (or equivalent EU license)
- Clean driving record
- Proven experience with van driving and multi-drop deliveries
- Strong geographical knowledge of Passau and surrounding areas
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25 kg regularly
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Good communication skills in German or English
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier in a professional capacity
- Familiarity with navigation tools and delivery software
