Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of dental equipment (e.g., X-ray machines, sterilization units, dental chairs, handpieces).
- Troubleshoot technical issues with dental software and hardware, escalating complex problems to external support as needed.
- Manage and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate inventory of dental supplies, instruments, and materials, placing orders as required.
- Assist dentists and dental hygienists with chairside support, including preparing treatment rooms and ensuring patient comfort.
- Prepare and pour dental models, trim casts, and assist with other basic laboratory procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms, sterilization areas, and laboratory.
- Educate patients on post-procedure care and oral hygiene instructions as directed by the dental professional.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including WHMIS and OH&S standards.
- Participate in team meetings and continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a dental clinic or healthcare support role (minimum 1 year).
- Strong understanding of dental instruments, equipment, and materials.
- Proficiency in sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Excellent technical troubleshooting abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
