As a Dental Nurse in our Golders Green practice, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily clinics. Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional chairside assistance to dentists and hygienists during a variety of dental procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the dental surgery, ensuring cleanliness, sterilisation, and adherence to cross-infection control protocols.
- Process and sterilise instruments to the highest UK regulatory standards.
- Manage patient records efficiently and accurately, using practice management software.
- Provide clear and compassionate post-operative instructions and oral hygiene advice to patients.
- Maintain adequate stock levels of materials and instruments, placing orders as required.
- Ensure patient comfort and build rapport, addressing any concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Assist with radiography and provide administrative support when necessary.
- Actively participate in team meetings and continuous professional development initiatives.
Required Skills
- Valid GDC registration or actively working towards registration with demonstrated progress.
- Minimum 1.5 years (18 months) of experience as a Dental Nurse.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of dental procedures.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., SOE, Dentally) is highly desirable.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications in dental radiography, impression taking, or oral health education.
- Experience with sedation nursing or dental implant procedures.
