Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
- Manage a multi-line phone system, addressing inquiries, and directing calls efficiently.
- Schedule, confirm, and modify patient appointments using practice management software.
- Process patient registrations, update personal and medical information accurately.
- Handle financial transactions, including collecting payments, processing insurance claims, and managing daily reconciliations.
- Explain treatment plans, financial options, and practice policies clearly to patients.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely treatment.
- Manage patient recall systems and follow-up on missed appointments.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and managing incoming/outgoing mail.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., SOE, Dentally, Exact).
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
