Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and dedicated Dentist to join our esteemed team at Brown’s Town Dental Centre. As a Dentist with our clinic, you will be responsible for providing a full spectrum of general dentistry services, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and execution of various dental procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive oral examinations, diagnose dental conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Execute a wide range of general dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canal treatments, crowns, bridges, and dentures.
- Provide preventive dental care, including professional cleanings, fluoride treatments, and patient education on oral hygiene.
- Administer local anesthesia effectively and safely.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Adhere strictly to all sterilization protocols and infection control guidelines.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
- Educate patients on proper oral health maintenance, nutrition, and treatment options.
- Handle dental emergencies promptly and effectively.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay abreast of the latest dental techniques and technologies.
Required Skills
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid dental license to practice in Jamaica.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a practicing Dentist.
- Proficiency in all aspects of general dentistry.
- Excellent diagnostic and treatment planning skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with digital radiography and intraoral scanning technologies.
- Proficiency in basic orthodontic procedures or cosmetic dentistry techniques.
