Job Description

As a Desktop Support Assistant – Entry Level, you will be the first line of support for our internal users, ensuring their technical needs are met efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets, phone calls, and email inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, macOS) and various software applications.
- Assist with user account management, password resets, and access permissions.
- Perform routine maintenance on desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and procedures in our knowledge base.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing employees.
- Educate users on best practices for technology usage and security.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives as directed by the IT Manager.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A+ Certification or similar entry-level IT certification.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow).
- Basic understanding of network concepts (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPN).
- Prior experience in a customer service role.
