As a DevOps Automation Engineer, you will be at the heart of transforming development and operations, working with modern cloud platforms, containerization technologies, and automation tools. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for cloud resources.
- Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Automate routine operational tasks, system provisioning, and software deployments to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing and quality gates into the CI/CD process.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Ensure security best practices are integrated into all automation scripts and infrastructure configurations.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed, providing support for critical systems and automation infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices, proposing and implementing improvements.
- Document automation processes, configurations, and infrastructure designs.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Demonstrable experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert)
