Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and passionate DevSecOps Engineer to join our innovative team in the Phoenix See Area, Dortmund. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in weaving security into every facet of our software development lifecycle, from initial design and development to deployment and ongoing operations. We are looking for an individual who is not only proficient in a wide array of security tools and practices but also possesses a strong understanding of modern DevOps methodologies. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to implement and manage automated security testing, vulnerability management, and compliance initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, integrating security tools and practices.
  • Automate security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA) within the development workflow to identify vulnerabilities early.
  • Perform regular security audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments of applications and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to remediate identified security issues and implement secure coding best practices.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines across the organization.
  • Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions and privileged access management (PAM).
  • Monitor security systems and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
  • Research and evaluate new security technologies and practices to continuously improve our security posture.
  • Provide mentorship and training to development and operations teams on DevSecOps principles and security awareness.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, IAST).
  • Solid understanding of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and web application security.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSK).
  • Experience with threat modeling methodologies.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Familiarity with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) platforms.
