Job Description
Are you a seasoned Digital Content Optimization Strategist with a passion for driving online engagement and conversions? OK Zimbabwe Limited is seeking a talented individual to join our growing marketing team as a Digital Content Optimization Strategist, with the flexibility of a remote work option. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for enhancing our digital content’s visibility, relevance, and performance across various platforms. You will develop and execute comprehensive content strategies that align with our business objectives, focusing on SEO, user experience, and conversion rate optimization. This role requires a data-driven approach, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate complex analytics into actionable insights. While based out of Gweru, Midlands Province, this position offers the flexibility to work remotely, allowing you to contribute significantly to our digital transformation initiatives from wherever you are most productive. You will play a crucial role in shaping our brand’s online narrative and ensuring our digital content resonates with our target audience, driving traffic, engagement, and ultimately, sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive content optimization strategies to improve search engine rankings and user engagement.
- Conduct thorough keyword research, competitor analysis, and content audits to identify opportunities for growth.
- Optimize all digital content, including website pages, blog posts, product descriptions, and social media content, for SEO best practices (on-page, technical, off-page).
- Utilize analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush) to monitor content performance, track KPIs, and generate insightful reports.
- Collaborate closely with content creators, marketing managers, and web development teams to ensure content strategy is integrated across all digital channels.
- Stay abreast of the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and digital marketing best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure brand voice, tone, and messaging consistency across all digital content.
- Provide recommendations for content improvements, content creation, and overall digital strategy based on data and market insights.
- Manage content workflows and ensure timely delivery of optimized content.
- Implement A/B testing strategies for content and landing pages to improve conversion rates.
Required Skills
- Proven 3-5 years of experience as a Digital Content Strategist, SEO Specialist, or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) principles and techniques.
- Proficiency with major SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz) and web analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Google Search Console).
- Strong understanding of content management systems (CMS) and website architecture.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for SEO purposes.
- Solid understanding of digital marketing channels and their interdependencies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Certifications in Google Analytics, Google Ads, or other relevant SEO/digital marketing platforms.
- Experience in the retail or e-commerce industry.
- Familiarity with user experience (UX) and conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles.
- Knowledge of local SEO strategies specific to the Zimbabwean market.
