Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and scheduling of engaging content for our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc.) to showcase resort features, local attractions, and guest experiences.
- Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and engage with our online community to foster a positive brand image.
- Support the development and distribution of email newsletters and promotional campaigns to our subscriber base.
- Help update and maintain content on the resort's official website, ensuring information is current and optimized for search engines.
- Conduct basic research on competitor activities, industry trends, and new digital marketing tools and techniques.
- Assist with basic search engine optimization (SEO) tasks, including keyword research and content optimization.
- Contribute to the creation of blog posts, articles, and other online content that highlights the unique aspects of Michamvi Sunset Bay Resort and Zanzibar.
- Compile and analyze digital marketing performance data, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Support the coordination of digital marketing initiatives with on-site promotional activities and events.
- Perform other digital marketing duties as assigned to support the overall marketing objectives of the resort.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in social media management platforms and strategies (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and content marketing.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
- Ability to create visually appealing content (basic graphic design using tools like Canva, photo editing).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Basic knowledge of website content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
