Job Description
AboitizLand, Inc. is seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Construction to lead our dynamic project teams in Cebu City, Cebu. This pivotal role demands a seasoned professional who can drive the successful execution of complex real estate development projects, from inception to completion. As the Director of Construction, you will be instrumental in overseeing all construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from high-rise residential condominiums to horizontal master-planned communities and commercial developments.
We are looking for a strategic leader with a proven track record in large-scale construction management, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of local building codes and regulations. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to fostering collaborative relationships with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all construction phases of multiple real estate development projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor construction strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and project delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers, engineers, and construction staff, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage contractor selection, negotiation, and performance, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Implement stringent quality control and assurance programs, conducting regular site inspections and audits.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices across all construction sites.
- Collaborate closely with design teams, sales and marketing, finance, and legal departments to ensure seamless project execution and stakeholder alignment.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, resolving complex construction issues and challenges efficiently.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports, financial forecasts, and progress updates to senior management.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience in large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use construction management.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with a track record of inspiring and developing high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in construction project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore).
- Strong understanding of Philippine building codes, construction laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
- Budget management and cost control expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
