Job Description

Mimosa Mining Company (Pvt) Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and contribute to our long-term success. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the mining sector’s financial intricacies, robust regulatory frameworks, and international financial reporting standards. As the Director of Finance, you will be instrumental in shaping our financial strategy, overseeing all financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and treasury functions. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, accounting standards (IFRS), and tax laws.
  • Manage treasury functions, including cash flow, foreign exchange management, and banking relationships.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Manage internal and external audit processes, ensuring strong internal controls and governance.
  • Evaluate and manage financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks.
  • Optimize capital structure and allocation to support growth initiatives and maximize shareholder value.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with financial institutions, investors, and regulatory bodies.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position (e.g., Head of Finance, Financial Controller, or Director of Finance).
  • Proven experience in the mining or heavy industry sector is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and Zimbabwean financial reporting standards.
  • Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing finance teams.
